Sales Manager (Contract, Remote)

The Role


We’re looking for a Sales Manager (Independent Contractor) to join our growing team. This isn’t your typical 9-to-5. It's a role for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial performer who thrives on autonomy and takes pride in making things happen.


As an Account Manager, you’ll manage brand and retailer relationships, present to major buyers, and identify growth opportunities for clients in the natural and specialty CPG world. You’ll play a hands-on role in helping brands scale their distribution, strengthen retail partnerships, and drive results that matter.


This is a 1099 contract role, perfect for someone who values flexibility, loves the freedom to run their own business, doesn’t need a formal W2 structure with traditional benefits, and is excited to grow alongside Burst and our clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day communication with a portfolio of emerging and established CPG brands
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national and regional retailers
  • Present and pitch brand portfolios to buyers across key retail channels
  • Provide consultative insights and recommendations that help brands position for growth
  • Coordinate with internal teams on sell-in strategies, promotional planning, and execution
  • Track and report on account performance, opportunities, and wins

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or brokerage, ideally within the CPG or natural products industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • A self-starter mindset, you’re resourceful, proactive, and comfortable owning your results
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfort working independently and remotely, with minimal supervision
  • Experience with natural or health-focused brands is a plus
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
